Finding a good salad dressing can prove to be complicated. The calorie count goes up really fast simply by adding olive oil! To make things easier for you, here are my favourite fat-free (or almost) dressing recipes!
Creamy dressing
4 servings
Ingredients
45 ml (3 tablespoons) light mayonnaise
45 ml (3 tablespoons) 0% M.F. plain Greek yogurt
15 ml (1 tablespoon) red wine vinegar
10 ml (2 teaspoons) full grain mustard
5 ml (1 teaspoon) maple syrup
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- In a small bowl, mix all the ingredients. Set aside in the fridge.
Each serving of this recipe contains:
52 calories / 3 g carbs / 2 g protein / 4 g fat / 0 g fibre
Orange dressing (fat free)
4 servings
Ingredients
60 ml (1/4 cup) orange juice
30 ml (2 tablespoons) balsamic vinegar
15 ml (1 tablespoon) Dijon mustard
15 ml (1 tablespoon) honey
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- In another small bowl, mix all the ingredients. Set aside in the fridge.
Each serving of this recipe contains:
33 calories / 8 g carbs / 1 g protein / 0 g fat / 0 g fibre
Pink grapefruit dressing
10 servings
Ingredients
90 ml (1/3 cup) olive oil
90 ml (1/3 cup) fresh pink grapefruit juice
45 ml (3 tablespoons) white or red wine vinegar
45 ml (3 tablespoons) honey
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- In another small bowl, mix all the ingredients. Set aside in the fridge.
- 1 serving corresponds to 25 ml.
