THE quickest and easiest dessert to make when you’re craving something sweet and comforting…a chocolate mugcake! It’s all done in one mug, and you end up with a fluffy mini chocolate cake. The strawberries add a nice freshness and interesting texture to the recipe, but you could just as easily make it without strawberries!

Cooking time: 1 minute
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp (30ml) unbleached all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp (30ml) cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp (15ml) brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tsp (10ml) vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp (30ml) milk (or soy, almond or any other dairy beverage)
- 3 to 5 frozen or fresh strawberries, roughly diced
Preparation
- In your favorite mug, add all the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt, and brown sugar) and mix well.
- Add remaining ingredients except strawberries and mix again.
- Stir in half the strawberries, keeping the rest aside.
- Microwave for 1 minute.
- Add remaining strawberries to garnish.
- Enjoy your chocolate mugcake in front of your favorite TV show!
