Here’s my upgraded version of the traditional grilled cheese. This recipe is really quick and easy to do. If you don’t have blueberries on hand, you can use pears or apples and it will taste just as delicious! Serve with raw vegetables or a small green salad!
1 serving
Ingredients
58 g (2) slices whole wheat or multigrain bread with no added sugar or fat
60 g low-fat Swiss cheese
30 ml (2 tablespoons) walnuts, chopped
125 ml (1/2 cup) fresh blueberries, crushed with a pestle
5 ml (1 teaspoon) honey
