With summer just around the corner, here’s a refreshing recipe for those hectic mornings when you still need a full breakfast and a little boost of energy! This breakfast coffee smoothie is perfect for enjoying on the way to work, as it’s easy to take along in your favorite mug. Thanks to its high carb and protein content, it also makes a great post-workout snack.

Preparation time : 5 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 shot of espresso
- 1 frozen banana
- ¼ cup (60 ml) rolled oats
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) peanut (or almond) butter
- ½ cup (125 ml) vanilla Greek yogurt
- ½ cup (125 ml) 2% milk
- 3-5 ice cubes
Preparation
- Pour the espresso and chill it in the fridge while you add the rest of the ingredients to the blender. Better still, put it in the fridge the day before, or use cold-brewed coffee!
- Add all the ingredients to the blender, finishing with the espresso.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into your favorite cup-to-go and your coffee smoothie is ready to enjoy!
