At 238 pounds, I had a hard time getting through the day. My back and knees were hurting and I was constantly suffering from headaches. On top of this, I had high blood pressure. My greatest regret is not having been able to teach my kids how to walk. I wasn’t even able to play around with them, for that matter.
I did not like my body, and given my mental condition, I had no social life. I stayed home as much as I could, and tried to remain unnoticed. All in all, I didn’t enjoy life.
This is now a thing of the past. I started being active and lost close to a 100 pounds. I turned my life around. For example, a few times a year I now host meetings with parents within the context of my work, something I would never had the nerve to do at 238 pounds. I can now play sports with my kids and climb mountains with my spouse. Life is now wonderful! I can accomplish great things and I feel confident about myself.
